That’s why I swore off shopping at Walmart quite awhile ago - last time I went there, I saw no less than 3 bare asses hanging out, none of them the sort you would want to see. Frankly, 2 would have been excessive.

Based on the number of people I’ve seen in plasma centers I must be in the minority. Hopefully, your experience is better than mine. I’ve donated blood about 30 times, and the only problem I’ve ever had was when a new tech used me as a pin cushion.

I donated plasma twice and got super dizzy when I tried to get out of the chair both times. One of them I apparently blacked out completely for about 10 seconds.

Love me some 7-11, too . Wh en they were just open from 7am to 11pm, I helped their bike team at a race once. One of their mechanics wasn’t available for some reason and I’d already crashed out so I spent a couple days wrenching bikes. My pay included an ICEE card! Kept that thing into the late ‘80s and it was always honored.

I’m overdue myself. I used to do it like clockwork, but that was only because my grandfather ran a Moose Lodge for several years that did regular blood drives. My work keeps saying they’re going to set them up but they haven’t yet.

That was what I suspected was my issue with plasma donation. Before the second try I drank so much water that I could barely stay out of the bathroom, and it didn’t seem to help.

I’ve felt a bit woozy once or twice after a regular blood donation, and I suspect it was either that or not eating a good enough breakfast before going.

Oh man. I don't normally drink a lot of water, so days that I have donated, I usually end up drinking 2-3x as much. As a result I have had a close call or two having to pee immediately after donating.
